MISSION
We serve children, adults and families who are at-risk of abuse; neglect; dependency or exploitation, and persons in need of financial and economic support. In partnership with the community, we provide strength-based intervention; education; and employment services. While preserving the dignity and privacy of all we serve, we use best practice methods to provide an accessible process. Our collective effort results in safe; healthy; responsible and self-sufficient residents of Union County.
SERVICES
- Eligibility for financial and medical assistance programs including Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Ohio Direction Card (Food Stamps), Medicaid, and Disability Assistance.

- Services to employers and workers including child care assistance, training opportunities, a comprehensive job search library, job placement and job matching assistance.

- Services to families that assure safety and stability for children, adults, and families including child protective services, foster care and adoption.

-Protection for children and adults at risk of abuse, neglect and exploitation.

- Child support enforcement activities including paternity establishment and establishment and enforcement of child support orders using various administrative and judicial methods.
ELIGIBILITY
Services are available to those who meet federal income guidelines.

Programs available:

OWF - Cash Assistance:
eligibility is based upon income and assistance group size
-In order to receive assistance applicants must participate in work activities
-Verifications needed to process eligibility would include: income verification, original birth certificates, social security cards, identity verification for all individuals, etc.

Food Stamps:
eligibility is based upon 130% Federal Poverty Guidelines and assistance group size
-Applicants could potentially be subject to participate in work activities
-Verifications needed to process eligibility would include: income verification, original birth certificates, social security cards, identity verifications, documentation/verification of any and all resources, verification of shelter and utility costs, etc.

Medicaid Programs:
various medical programs, programs are based upon Federal Poverty Guidelines. There are Medicaid programs available to families and those that are aged, blind or disabled.
-Verifications needed to process eligibility would include: income verification, original birth certificates, social security cards, identity verification for all individuals, documentation/verification of any and all resources, etc.

Child Care Assistance:
is available to those that meet 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
-Verifications needed to process eligibility would include: income verification, identity verification, etc.
