MISSION
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Within the context of The Salvation Army's mission, the Department of Social Services strives to help people meet their social, emotional and material needs in an environment of trust, tolerance and dignity. We seek to encourage consumer empowerment by helping people build skills, strengths and potential within the framework of the family and community.

SERVICES
Homeless Prevention Program- Families with children and individuals with no children can apply for assistance when facing a housing crisis such as eviction or utility disconnection. The Salvation Army case manager will work with families and individuals who fulfill eligibility requirements in order to assist a family from losing their current housing. Case managers will also address the factor that contributed to this housing crisis. The goal of the program is to help clients become financially independent.
